My Testimony, T.B.

When Candita first walked into the faculty room that day, I wasn't sure, but I sensed something different about her. It was just she and myself, no one else. In the small room with several windows, I could hear the cold winter wind hitting the panes. I was happy that someone had come into the room, so the loneliness would flee. We began with small talk and then the conversation turned to religion. I asked Candita about her upbringing, she said she was raised Catholic, but had begun to meet several years ago in the local church. I continued to ask questions and then I shared how I felt about the way I was raised in religion. With a spirit of meekness and love (1 Corinthians 4:21; 2 Timothy 1:7), Candita revealed the love of the Lord to me. I remember how filling that first encounter was in my spirit (Ephesians 5:18), how enlivened my spirit became, and I knew what she had to say was something that had been missing in my life for a long time.
